Record when and where it happens
Write down the affected function, room and time. If the app stops responding, see whether the wall control still works. Note recent changes, such as a new router or a power outage. A short video can help someone reproduce the issue.
Gather the system documents
Look for the wiring diagram, equipment list and a copy of the configuration. In a KNX installation, the ETS project file helps identify device addresses and roles. If you cannot find it, share what documents you do have. Avoid factory resets before the configuration has been reviewed.
Decide what is worth keeping
Once the fault can be reproduced, ask whether it can be fixed by adjusting settings, repairing a connection or replacing a component. If an upgrade makes sense, ask which equipment can stay, which functions will be restored and how they will be tested.
